bizSAFE STAR

Why You Should Apply
bizSAFE STAR recognises that your company's Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) identifies, manages and controls workplace risks or hazards in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and international standards such as ISO 45001.

How to Qualify
Requirement before 1 April 2021

Your company must have one of the following:

  • An accredited SS506 certificate, ISO 45001 certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the Singapore Accreditation Council's (SAC) certification bodies; or
  • A non-SAC accredited ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001 certificate and a valid Risk Management Audit Report (See bizSAFE Level 3).

        Note: With effect from 1 April 2021, your company must submit one of the following  
    
    certifications with a Risk Management Audit Report:

  • SS506 Part 1; or
  • SS506 Part 3 / SS651; or
  • ISO 45001 accredited by Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC); or
  • ISO 45001 accreditation body recognised under Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA).

The Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council will not accept OHSAS 18001 and non-accredited ISO 45001 certification that are approved after 31 March 2021. 

How to Apply for bizSAFE STAR
You may apply for bizSAFE STAR by completing the application form. Once we approve your application, you will receive your company’s bizSAFE Level STAR e-Certificate and your company's details will be updated on the bizSAFE Marketplace.

bizSAFE Certificate Validity
Your bizSAFE STAR certificate is valid until your company’s WSHMS certificate expires. You can renew your company's bizSAFE status two months before it expires.
